Step 1: Set up your course (once only).
Once your roster is complete, you should set up an account for your class on my iClicker webpage. This account does several things. For one, it normalizes each session so that if you ran a 4 question quiz on Monday and then a 12 question quiz on Wednesday, they'll be reported as a straight percentage per session. This means that if time poses an issue in class and you don't ask as many questions as you like, students can still get a sense (percentage-wise) about how they performed on that unit. The software stores the grades so students can query their scores by entering their clicker numbers. You can also get a year-end report that ranks scores from highest to lowest and shaves off a number of the lowest scores (your choice how many to drop). Finally, it makes a list of students who have registered but did not click any questions - perhaps because they were absent. This last function can help catch those students who might otherwise think you don't care whether they are in class or not.
I've only made one version of these instructions - new software only. Let me know if you want instructions for older versions of the software.
First, here's the step-by-step document.

Step 2: upload grades (after each class).
Once the class is set up, use the password you created in Step 1 to find and update scores. This set of instructions shows how to get the scores out of igrader.exe and open them in Excel. Then you paste this into another part of my website.
